Its really quite nice down there: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1731751/
But i wouldn't want to get stuck under a falling chunk of cliff face, they tend to be the size of a city bus, or small building:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1731710/ I don't want to know how much they weigh >_<
there's a reason its so peaceful there: its hard to get down there. and getting down there involves some tricky climbing on a rock face next to a drop so sheer that would cause some to lose the contents of their bowels. and rarely do people try and do so. I've gone there before and not seen another soul all day on some occasions save for a couple who were in Kayaks out on the river.
Getting down there involves lowering ones self off a 5 foot drop onto solid rock - Twice, Then shimmying down a fallen tree
Getting back out involves climbing back up the same way. since there's no way up other then that aside from a 50 degree bank down the river covered in moss and skinny trees to grab hold of while pulling one's self up.
If it starts to rain while you down there though. its best you bail out of there quickly before things become too slippery to climb.
and one should probably leave before 7:30PM since the gorge runs north to south. and the only accessible side is the west: it gets dark fast down there.
its worth it though. especially on those days when you just want to gtfo and get away from it all. its a little slice of heaven. and its nice and cool on hot days since there's shade everywhere.
This picture though is wonderful. Although to be completely accurate to real life I'd expect at least a crushed beer can or something hiding behind a tree somewhere. it seems no matter how far away from civilization one goes, there's always signs of humanity. mucking it up
