Unpopular opinion, but I like the Elemental Monkeys. I think the hate they get is unjustified. They're just funny little monkeys who help you with the first gym. People just take 'em, use 'em, and dump 'em in the box. Which, like, rude. If you don't like 'em, then put on your big boy pants and fucking take on the first gym on your own.

Meanwhile, I like 'em and I'm glad to keep one in rotation in my party when I can. I think they make for fun early game mons that should be used a little more.
