Did you plan to start the two scenes the same way? Does the first scene really happen, or is it a daydream? It's so vague.

*laughs... I never plan anything, but sometimes when it seems like a good idea, I'll grab the ball and run with it. As to 'vague', Silent, it's the Thursday Prompt and this is where you play, and experiment. It's a good learning tool.

*laughs... and that is just too true...

On the Duane, the officer handling the departure was not paying attention (or something) and we broke the forward bow snub line. It almost killed one of our sailors. In Copenhagen, we had a tourist boat moored behind us and the captain did not plan things accordingly, and we almost crushed it, missing by a mere foot or so, and the - ahem,cough,cough,stupid, tourists we almost killed cheered us for our wonderful seamanship. Unlike the navy, the coast guard never used tug support - and we paid the price for that occasionally.

*laughs... we ran aground in the Cape Cod Canal. It was a very interesting experience finding an uncharted rock. It put us in dry dock.
