The Gorothian Coal-Back is a small, herbivorous mammal that was domesticated by the people of the country of Gorothia. This creature is derived from the Rock-Hide Grazer and, much like it, it is a hearty but docile animal. It is mostly kept for its meat, which is rather gamey, and the bony scutes that cover its back and head. The scutes of a coal-back are prized for their durability and used as crafting materials for armor and shields distributed among novice adventurers and lower-end city guards.
