Commission for
Toxic
Part One
I had to select "male" for gender, but you should know, in reality, that Nakita is a "boi."

This one ended up being a double feature because tox liked two of the sketches I gave him as ideas.
I used circles for the little folks' faces. I got the idea that giving them faces might humanize them too much to be able to indulge in the sadism. I always wondered if one would be able to enjoy a scene if one knew a giant was smashing a children's hospital, for example.
I have no idea about the children's hospital scenario. But regarding the faces, I'm pretty sure I was worrying too much.

Def a good question about a children's hospital. Majority of the big name macro folks skirt around it either by (oh this tera macro that doesnt check for life? TOTALLY not a genocidal youth! Hyuck). Even the meaner macro artist folks in 3d animation tend to stick to generic devastation. A piece with a childs hospital being targeted would be an extreme deliberate choice to showcase child suffering in a fetish space. As a viewer I would feel odd looking at it. Then again im fine with hospitals being in the scene to showcase a cruel macro, but an interior view like the art above of a kids hospital would be odd =/
Just my rando meaningless opinion lol.

:O Not meaningless at all! That was exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to hear about. "Generic destruction" is a great term for it. And I don't think it's just macro art that sidles around it. The same dynamic would apply for something like Grand Theft Auto, or something like Infamous with its good/evil morality sandbox. Even with all the mayhem you can cause in those games, there are certain reprehensible things they don't even let you *think* about doing. And why would they?
Everybody seems to have some kind of frustration with society. It's worth thinking more about those frustrations and how they relate to generic destruction. From where I'm standing I can see the abyss.

Oh? What's a score?
And it wasn't a direct Zarathustra reference, although being aware of the quote probably made me more likely to use the word. I won't feel comfortable quoting Nietzsche until I've read something he's written all the way through.
When I said abyss, I was referring to my sense that talking about a person's frustration with society and the outlets a person might use to relieve that frustration was too big a subject for a comment on furaffinity. I had to find a way to duck out of it. It was becoming a mental quagmire. DX
