Ironhook Tower is spoken of with dread by the Pokemon. It is a heavily fortified bunker disguised as a grand tower, much like the similar but weaker Destiny Tower. The restrictions for Pokemon explorers to enter Ironhook Tower are similarly crippling. All items and money will be stolen by Digimon troops, traps will not be visible, only one Pokemon may enter, IQ skills, reviver seeds and escape orbs will not work and all Pokemon who enter will be thrown down to level 1. Not to mention any Pokemon who faint here are forced to join the Digimon's side or die with no hope of rescue. Yikes!
Worse, unstoppable Digimon soldiers aggressively roam the ferrocrete halls, reinforcing their Pokemon Digi-followers in their attempt to slaughter intruding explorers. This particular hole is an 100 floor military nightmare that is inteded as a barbed iron hook dug into the flesh of the Pokemon world. It's not called Ironhook for nothing.
Since I'm not a Pokemon however, that didn't stop me from going about and tagging up the place. Though the soldiers stationed there were excited to see a Mabanox like me, this Gardevoir took it to the next level. Though I did get into a little bit of trouble for tresspassing since Ironhook Tower was a military base, not a skatepark. Have fun out there y'all!
Another massive wall of story here! This time, inspired by Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, probably the DS game that I grew up playing the absolute most! (As did a friend of mine) Though it can get frustrating as hell, I still love the series even if I've only played Blue Rescue Team and Explorers Of Sky.
There's a lot going on here: Basically, a lot of the old story I had pertaining to the Digimon, as well as the whole "Pokemon vs Digimon" thing. The brutal absolute very final dungeons of the PMD series were always a source of fear and wonder to me as a kid. Not just because in Blue Rescue Team it took away your items and money in bag if you tried to soft reset, and in the universally hated "level 1 dungeons", possibly your entire levelling. I always wondered why they had such terrifying restrictions such as the level 1 downgrades or worse, and wondered who enforced that crap. Bad game design much, Game Freak? I guess the Digimon are the only ones who'd make sense. I mean, I've heard that there's some Digimon who can make anything in 40k look like mere Stormtroopers from Star Wars.
As for Ironhook Tower itself, I might reuse that location some day or even repurpose it into a location in Ordna Awakens, but I have yet to decide.
