Whenever I need an idea for particular art, I listen to music to get me in the right headspace. In this case, the song “SCAPEG♾️AT” by Ghost and Pals could literally not have been a better choice. In fact, I consider it to be Azazel’s theme, purely because I can pinpoint each verse to his story. Specifically, the line “Are you able to feel culpability?” In which case, he’s addressing other angels, wondering if they’re at all able to feel guilt or take accountability for how poorly they treated not only him, but others. His own name literally means, “the scapegoat” which he often was treated as.
