It's what I use for single screenshots and simple image manipulation.
InfanView is good for multiple screenshots, but takes a while to get set up.
Photoshop is good for large manipulations, but takes half a minute to load
Paint loads nearly instantly and has simple tools to save pictures, crop, change aspect ratios, and such
It's got a niche, is what I'm sayin'.
