Original Species: Lancehorn
The Lancehorn is a desert-dwelling ceratopsian native to the Arcadian continent. It is a close relative to the Monoceras, though its horn is far more prominent and specialized.
Its horn serves primarily as a display structure and weapon for dueling other lancehorns. It can serve to defend against smaller predators, however, hitting larger, bulkier predators with it runs the risk of the horn breaking. A lancehorn with a broken horn is no longer considered a viable mate, which will exclude it from taking part in the breeding season.
Aside from the horn, the major defining feature of this dinosaur is its tail. As it lives in an arid and barren environment, the lancehorn needs to have a way to survive prolonged periods of time without food or water. The solution is its tail, which stores vast amounts of fat of lean times, much like a camelope's hump. Thanks to that this dinosaur can survive in the hostile desert environment.
