Despite his head looking very bird-like, skip is exclusively related to a few marine organisms. Mainly Dolphins and a number of different fish. He works with a few different agencies to deal with sea monsters, mainly to use their information and transportation resources to gain access to said monsters' genes. As one might guess he really doesn't like trying to move on land, and he's about as slow as an elderly person when he's forced to do any walking. In this scene he can be seen waiting for a taxi to get him to an inland lake.
