From long travel experience, I'd vote for "over, one strap," but that's based on convenience, not looks. Still, *seeing* the bag gives the impression of travel.

I'd say one strap. Lets the cloth flow better but also shows the backpack and won't make them look like a hunchback.

But also she'd wear it under for waterproofing if the bag is questionable in if its waterproof, not just for looks. I agree with you though, makes it easier to ditch if she needs to take a load off or toss through a window in an escape?

Yeah, but really what we're talking about then is situational. All three would be a potential. Two strap for a longer trek or a heavier bag, one strap for everyday convenience and carry, and underneath for rainy weather situations or maybe through towns/cities to avoid being a target of thieves.

This is true, though on a personality level (from what I've seen of her), she seems like she'd do either the one strap or under ^^
