The Carnival was in town. Remy, Kyle and Regina went down to see what was in store for them.
They were in luck. The park was Playland. You could laugh and scream and get scared to death on rides and eat junk food and ditch your parents all in one night. For Kyle, it was heaven on earth.
It was Friday night, and the park was busy. Remy rubbed his arms in discomfort over the large crowds of people. Kyle on the other hand, was unphased by them.
They played a few booths and went on some of the rides. From the Ferris wheel to the Tilt-O-Whirl. They considered riding the roller coaster, but Remy refused. He was no fan of roller coasters.
Kyle stopped at a stand and bought some cotton candy. Then they moved along and came across the funhouse of Zeebo the Clown. The cackling of a clown was added to the air as they stepped forward in front of two large, sinister-looking doors.
"So," said Kyle. "What do you say?"
Regina shook her head. "I'm not going in there," she said. "They say it's really haunted."
Kyle scoffed. "Give me a break. It's just a kiddie ride!"
"I don't know," said Remy. "I've heard terrible stories about things happening in there. Something to do with the clown."
"Not you too," grumbled Kyle. "I swear, you guys are chicken."
"Excuse me, lad." they heard a voice say.
They turned to see a middle-aged boar in a striped suit slowly approaching them. He had a large grin on his face.
"Don't believe in ol' Zeebo, do you?" he grinned with a Southern drawl.
"Who are you?" asked Kyle.
"I run this place," smiled the pig. "And Zeebo's in there waiting. Pick the right door and you'll go free. Pick the wrong door, and there he'll be. Give it a go?"
Kyle and the others hesitated.
"Suit yourself," said the boar.
The three huddled. "Alright," whispered Kyle. "I'll go in alone. And when I find the dummy clown, I'll steal his nose."
"Remy was shocked. "What?"
"Yeah," Kyle laughed, "and I might even make you wear it."
He turned back to the boar. "Alright, I'll give it a go."
The boar grinned. "Why not?"
