Showing age is possible, graymuzzles and puffy eyes and jowls. Look at photos of senior cats, dogs, wolves et cetera. There are two girls on DeviantART who take photographs of animals in zoos in and around Holland. Lots of seniors in those shots and they suggest using them for references.
