Induction stoves are becoming popular because they are more efficient and less polluting than gas stoves. However the radio-frequency circuit driving the induction coil is quite complicated and difficult to repair. It is possible to generate induced currents with rotating magnets, as shown in this tutorial, but the motor used is quite bulky.
I wanted to design a compact rotating induction stove using techniques developed by Robert Murray-Smith, notably this video showing how to create a Joule Thief module driving a motor.
