I chose Applejack because I wanted to play her "rural" accent off against Sandy's Texan sound. I'm pretty sure it isn't Texan as well, as I'm not sure we have much in the way of apple orchards around here, at least in this part of the state. Maybe up north?

OK, we do have a considerable apple industry, mostly in East and North Texas and the Hill Country. I hadn't the slightest idea, and now thanks to MLP, I now know something new about my own state. PONIEZ RULE.
