King Tomlin chose to meet Princess Melna in the throne room expecting a meeting of diplomats working to end a war. What he got was a cry of desperation from a young woman trying to protect the citizens of her nation. Of course the news picked this up and soon the whole of Aldenea was speculating on the outcome.
