After waiting days for their egg to hatch, Knuckles and Zyanya are finally greeted with the sound of the egg cracking.

They gather in excitement around the egg and soon enough, two little puggles emerge; one a girl, and the other a boy.

The echidnas are over the moon and immediately begin to swoon over the little creatures, and attend to their every need.

After feeding and comforting the puggles, Zyanya finds that she is still exhausted from birthing the egg and decides to take a short nap in order to recover.

Knuckles, meanwhile, takes this as an opportunity to bond with his newborn puggles and soon lets his softer, and over-protective, side take over him.
