This handsome cardinal/panther griffin was commissioned by  scani at FE 2011.
It was the first sketch in his book, so I hope it sets a good tone for the art to follow.
The character is black with red crest, breast, wing tips and tail floof. In inked sketches I don't fully black in characters, as it might just as well be a fully-shaded picture (which costs more) at that point. I DO tell my clients this.
I'd love to do a full-color of this character at some point!
