This piece was created by gummywyvern, who I already had prior knowledge of drawing a really great Mizutsune. So when I heard commissions were open, I knew I had to have my turn! And so... here we are! I'd wanted to have Mizu depicted grooming for a good while now, as it's a very important part of her daily routine. I hope you enjoy!

A wild Mizutsune's life may not always be filled with excitement, but it does have its peaceful moments. A Mizutsune grooms its fur often to keep bubblefoam throughout, which moistens it and keeps it soft and purple. Without grooming, the foam would not spread throughout the fur, and it would lose its moisture, resulting in the fur becoming hard and gray. As a result, it is an important part of every Mizutsune's life!
Mizu is just a little different when it comes to grooming. She will groom every single day, usually once a day, to keep her fur in the best shape possible; straight, vivid, and silky soft. Not only does she enjoy being soft, but she enjoys being beautiful too, hence her focus on her looks. Sure, it is antithetical to her fears of attracting the attention of particularly rogue males, but she takes that slight risk to keep herself satisfied. After all, her own happiness is one of her priorities, and her time spent grooming in her den is often a peaceful time too. No one around to annoy her or to hurt her in the safety of her den, just peace and quiet, and usually the company of her mate too.
