Ibzan commissioned me to paint them a picture in a very specific renaissance technique (sfumato). I gave it my best shot to replicate it.
First of we were looking for a fitting motif. Izban described a pretty scene, with a big bridge over a wide river and hills in the background. I suggested to shrink down the field of view to focus a little more on their character. We kept the initial idea of the bridge, but a small one over an idyllic stream. And as backdrop I picked a forest.
