Heya, I'm taking dinosaur related requests over on my recent journal!

Here's my second one, and we are continuing the dino love train from before. <3
(Know I am not expert with dinosaurs despite being a huge fan of them)
Here's Lakestorm the spinosaurus! And, here's a mishmash of facts too.
If it isn't at all surprising, the spinosaurus is my favorite dinosaur! Spinos are also my favorite species known to exist, even out of fictional species.
If you're not really familiar with dinosaurs, and know Jurassic Park III, the spino in that film is very different than what the spinosaurus is depicted as now. The spinosaurus has smaller legs than the JP counterpart hah! And, yes, it is the paleo accurate spinosaurus that is my favorite. Sorry Jurassic Park III Spino <3
The spinosaurus is a large theropod dinosaur part of the spinosauridae family (a lovely family if you ask me) and lived in current day North Africa. They lived during the Cretaceous Period, and their name means, "Spined Lizard"
Also did you know that the most complete fossil we had of spinosaurus was destroyed? Yes, it still hurts me to know my most beloved species was destroyed back in world war 2 during the bombing of Munich. Thankfully we have images of the skeleton, but it's still such a loss..
And, did you also know that the asteroid wasn't the reason why spinosaurus died? They say they died out long before that event ever happened. I think it was habitat changes that led to their extinction :c
