Just thought it was a nice looking sunrise. This is in Prattsburgh, NY. Had to lean out the window to take this so as not to get glare from the windshield.

I never looked into the purpose of that visor on the front of american longnose trucks, care to fill me in? What's it there for, to stop stone chippings hitting the windscreen?

It's called a "bug deflector." It forces air upward and away to keep insects from hitting the windshield.

About as useful as cheese cloth to stop a freight train at 120Kph.

Actually they work reasonably well. A few get through, but my glass stays a lot cleaner than other guys who don't have them. Wouldn't do to have a perfect solution, the wash boy needs something to do. LOL

Amazing picture of such a beautiful sunrise. Thats one thing I love about starting out early in the morning....getting to see the sun rise, and the beginning of a new day!

This pic doesn't do it justice, if I were more skilled with a camera I could have probably done better. Thanks for the kind words, though
