(Yes I know these three are all monochrome on purpose, but I decided to give these three the eyes of their real selves just to differentiate their palettes a bit more from their shared sepia tones.)
Its hard to believe we are already a third of the way through Taut-tober, isn't it?~ Time certainly flies, especially when you're a blimp having fun and flying with it...something I'm sure these three can attest to~
In the files of a peculiar digital card game, three folk trapped in the cards of a Stoat, Stinkbug, and Stunted Wolf had found themselves subject to a very strange modification made to the game, not only had they been given full bodies...but sigils and stat boosts given would alter said new forms!
As the player progressed through the game, they were saddled with more and more, Corpse-Eater alone guaranteed that all of them would be stuffed to the gills simply from regular play, yet a nonstop barrage of campfire encounters had also served to fatten them up. Each time narrowly managing to escape before they too became dinner...yet they had become rather succulent looking and taut, each a banquet of taut flesh wobbling further and further into the wilderness...~
"This mod is awful!! It doesn't do anything for the gameplay, its just there so freaks can get their rocks off to a bunch of smelly animals getting grotesquely huge."
The hotheaded and judging Stoat had retained the most of his form, yet even he had become overly bloated and full. His face engulfed by cheeks, with his bloated cyan eyes in rivalry with them~
"This form is humiliating, yes...but it could be what we need to escape."
The mystical Stunted Wolf was still flustered by the form, yet he saw potential in it, this could be the run where they win. Though with one eye bulging and popped out to such an extent, you might not be so sure about that.
"Humiliating? No, this is a WONDERFUL change of pace, I feel as strong as my prime! I am UNDYING!~"
The kind yet ominous Stinkbug had a completely different perspective, though perhaps the mod had something to do with that. Being the smallest of the three, yet having received the most engorging of them all. She hardly was recognizable anymore! Where there was once mandibles and claws were just goofy nubs and smooth, rubbery exoskeleton...yet her observations weren't wrong.
The stats granted were as real as ever. Despite their goofy looks, they were STRONG, making quite a sight to see as the three blow through as they blow up~
Though...something was...different.
"Wait a sec. Where IS he? We've gone through the woods, swamp, and tundra...where the hell is the cabin?"
The stoat barked in a deep, muffled voice.
The three...had looped back around to the first area, now with foes as appropriately taut as they were...was...was the game now endless?~
The group was silent for a moment...as silent as a trio of perpetually creaking ubered out forest animals could be, anyway.
Eventually, the Stinkbug broke the silence with a DEEP laugh, and a call to action.
"Hoho!~ Well, we musn't keep the game held up!"
Before bouncing forward, ready to keep going for as long as the player still had interest...though, given how insistent they were on finding stat limits, they could very well have a long way to grow, in a seemingly endless forest feast~

Goodness sorry if that description was a bit more indulgent than usual. But I think Inscryption is a fantastic roguelike-horror-card game-thing. There's quite a bit MORE to it than what this thing here is based on, so I'd highly recommend you play it yourself! (Giant food bomb cards not included)
