That’s one way to capture a bounty (sfw)
In a dimly lit abandoned tavern, a fox and a cat stand opposed to each other.
“Who dares break into my hideout?” says the fox.
“Me.” says the cat. “A little birdie told me some baddies had come this way. If you’re one of them I’m taking your things and taking your ass to the sheriff.”
The fox notices the cat is holding a staff and wearing a pointy hat and long robes.
“A wizard? Hah! Don’t make me laugh. I’ve never lost a fight, and there’s no way a dork like you could change that!”
The cat’s eye twitches and they bare their fangs. ‘Dork’ is not a word they seem too particularly fond of.
“Oh, shut the fuck up. Ahem…”
The cat closes their eyes. Their staff begins to emit a faint glow.
“EVOCA CYLINDROS!”
Two steel rollers suddenly materialize above the fox.
“By the…” says the fox, eyes wide in shock.
The pair of rollers drops towards the fox. There is no time for him to react. The rollers flatten him like dough.
“Ghhk!” uttered the fox as he was pressed into a tight sheet.
The cat dispelled the rollers and watched as the two-dimensional fox wobbled and flopped around.
“I- I WASN’T DONE YET. THAT WASN’T F-FAIR!!!” uttered the fox in a loud yet wimpy tone.
“Sorry, you were taking too long.” The cat looked upon the fox with a glint of satisfaction. “I can’t unflatten you now.”
The fox’s athletic body twitched and glistened with sweat. He blushed a deep red and was clearly embarrassed.
“Oh Gods, I-I-I’ve never been flattened before…”
The fox grunts as he flops to the ground.
The cat bends over and peels the sticky head of the fox from the ground and levitates a wanted poster next to him.
The poster shows that a bounty of £50 is up for “Azerio Mantello”, and the woodcut portrait shows a fox that seems a little more threatening and rugged than the pitiful sight that is splayed flat before the cat.
“You are Azerio, right?”
“Y-yes, why?” responds Azerio weakly.
“Just checking, you were a lot softer than what this poster suggested.”
Peeling free the rest of Azerio from the ground, the cat rolls his body up like a tight scroll. To keep the bounty secure, the cat ties a thick rope around the fox to prevent any possible escape.
“The name’s Kedi Yazar, by the way.”
Azerio stirred, but his response was muffled by him being rolled into himself.
Kedi stood up and looked at the various chests and vases lying around the abandoned tavern hideout. They were excited to see what lost and stolen treasures could now be theirs.
“Now be a good little scroll and sight tight while I scavenge the rest of this place!”
Again, Azerio attempted to respond, but he was too weak and his tight scroll form did little to help.
All he could do was be alone with his thoughts and think about his poor life choices as Kedi’s footsteps became quieter and quieter.
Then, in the distance, he heard the sound of a piston slamming and a muffled scream.
Looks like he was going to be here for a while.
