There was a trailer for it several days ago.
But, Yeah...It's just eyerolling.
First it was a Slasher Film.
Then, there's that series pitch of Christopher Robin having a Quarter Life Crisis, and has him talking to animals while he's high on drugs in his derelict apartment.
Now...that Game...
It just feels more like they're just banking on the shock value or bile fascination of putting a Wholesome Character in it, rather than a story with any legit substance to it.
They're not being subversive if all they do with a Wholesome Property is make Edgelord Stuff with it!
At best, it's a Robot Chicken Sketch!
I am not saying you can't do a Mature Discussion or Deconstruction of the Characters or Themes of the work; but, the examples above are obviously just being made for Bile Fascination or Shock Value, with little, if any, regard or respect for the Source Material.
If all you have is Shock Value, it doesn't make you look more Adult, only more Childish.
Also, Shock Value can only take you so far. If that's all you do, it no longer becomes shocking.
I mean, at least, Disney tries to keep to the spirit of the original stories, Don't they!?
