Mariner is one of the hybrid researchers at Amalgam Genetics. A wolf merged with many fishy types, she now finds herself as their guard dog, sometimes referred to scornfully as such by the higher ups. Armed with the water affinity of an eel, the potent water shooting ability of an archerfish, and the powerful stomach capacity of a black swallower, she does well to defend her employer at the behest of her betters. Though, surely if asked, they would refer to themselves as Mariner's "Masters."
