definitely not the first person to try something like this, but i thought itd be a cool idea regardless. i basically just did a bunch of recolours of my woolly character as if he was a smash bros ultimate character! here are the references:
white: original
blue: windows 11s and twitters 'yarn' emojis🧶
orange: firey from BFDI
pink: kirby (complete with the brighter pink cheeks)
yellow: general reference to yellow 'mascot' characters like spongebob and pacman
green: same-ish as yellow but more of a specific reference to yoshi with the needles (which would kind of make sense since theres a yoshi game called yoshis woolly world)
grey: early 20th century cartoons like steamboat willie
black/navy blue?: my old fursona scooter, with the orange needle tips referencing his jumper and even his eyes are green like scooters!
i should do this with all my other characters!
