Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports is definitely the specialty of the warriors in my world, and here we show just how dynamic Artemessa the Flaaffy is! She does a dramatic backflip while drawing her bow to attack.
Seems she has a stowaway in her quiver that would be her servitor, Nathan the Absol (
nmr). Who knows, maybe he can help out with her grabbing arrows to use.
Though if she had different elemental arrows in that quiver that might actually be handy to have him in there…
Done as a sketch on paper, scanned in, and painted in Photoshop CS5.

That is an interesting dynamic pose and a well designed bow. I like how the subtle inclusion of the skyscrapers shows what she's doing and where she is.
Being put in a quiver is definitely a choice for carrying someone that I haven't seen before, and I like it quite a lot because of how unusual it is and how well drawn it is. Well done!

Thanks! ^.^ That bow is crazy hard to draw, especially at foreshortening angles. I'm only just now remembering that someone modeled that bow for me for fun... I think I'll ask for that file now while I'm thinking about it.
The neat thing about that quiver is that is has a sort of "shield" around it to keep things in that really only she can pull things out of with her divine essence. So he's pretty safe from falling out!
