Neither were true mammals, dimetrodon being an early synapsid. Closest you could possibly get would be a cetacean dorsal fin, but that is also unlikely since they are only related to whales and not a direct ancestor. But it would be cool if they did, I already love the animal so making it more impressive is icing on the cake haha
Besides, my reconstruction has tall neural spines like that of modern hogs and buffalo to support it's massive head via a strong thick neck. Only it's obscured by the bristly mane I gave it
