Before she became the vampire known as Ixefina, Isabella Rochemont was one of the two beautiful and gifted daughters of the renowned noble house of Rochemont, set to inherit its fame and fortunes alongside her beloved sister, Madeleine.
Instead, fate would see the family torn apart in a conflict between sinister forces that goes back over two millenia, and now the sisterly love and admiration between the two Rochemont siblings is condemned to wither and die like a rose torn from its roots, grief and hatred growing in its stead in a soil poisoned by lies, scheming and deceit.
