Riann's species of empathic sparkly dragons are the sort who require a lot of practice and a familial connection in order to learn and hone their craft. But after the terrible background event of their history that split the small clan of empaths into even smaller fragments - which is only halfway a metaphor - some underwent terrible changes or never learned their true nature except through practical application and pure instinct.

Which is where "Opal" comes in! A very (physically) smooth yet (emotionally) rough opal-toned sparkledragon with wild antler-crystals that grow like the wicked tiberium, he was born from a lost egg that had no family and no other sparkles like Riann to come by and save it, nurture it, teach it. So with his empathic powers afire, the hatchling lost himself in a world of wild sensation and power, having others care for him through 'force', and essentially being something of a feral and wild child.

He's not cruel or malicious, just full of energy and able to read everyone around him. He's hungry for excitement, for friendship, for relationships, and for YOU.
