This creature comes from an episode of "The smurfs". I tought it was very cute and the episode ("Born rotten") was my favourite in the series, it was so funny.
While the smurfs are making preparations for a night of falling stars Gargamell develops a new plane for find the smurfs.
He leave in the forest a strange egg covered with painted stars and when the smurfs find it, they take it to their village. Sonn the egg hatch and the creature of the picture is born. It appears to be a cute and nnice pet, the only problem is that it stinks really bad. In fact, it stinks so much that the smell can be smelled from miles even by human noses so Gargamell start to find his way to the smurfs village with Azrael.
However eventually Papasmurf discover that the creature lives in steps of central asia, and that it will also die of loneliness if not taken back to his kind. So the smurf give the creature to Feathers, the white stork.
Gargamell will try to follow the smell for the rest of the day until finally loosing it; and also he will remain covered with the smell of the creature!! lol
Oh I so laughed when I saw the episode for the first time!
The creature was never given an name in the cartoon but I thought that "Stinky" may have been appropriate! What do you think?
Here's the link for the episode on youtube if you want to see!

OMG I haven't seen this smurf episode in like .. forever. I'm amazed someone remembered it. I also never saw the very beginning of it.
One thing that I never figured out was how Gargamell got smelly and the smurfs (with the little guy in their village so long) didn't. Just didn't make any sense.

Yup... I just rewatched it -- thanks.
There were lots of other things in that episode that didn't make any sense -- for instance, if the critter naturally stinks why did Gargamel have to cast a spell on the egg -- and if it didn't naturally stink what happened when it got returned to it's non-smelly kind? They also sounded some kind of horn to alert Grouchy to come back -- but Gargamel was right there -- didn't he hear it too?
Anyway -- plot holes or not it was a cute episode and cute critter.
