Helacrates stood between the Archimedean and the fighters to shield her from the onslaught. They reached out to help her to her feet, but they both recoiled at an incandescent light that bleached Helacrates’ vision and temporarily blinded them.
Through parted fingers, they waited for the spots in their vision to fade and looked up in time to witness what they could only describe as a bizarre demonstration of phagocytosis. An orb of pure Void energy swallowed the Warframe before vesicles of fractal energy burst from it in a violent apoptosis. It then collapsed on itself like a dying star, vanishing from reality through a tear in space and time, leaving no trace of the Warframe. The only evidence he was ever here was the damage he had dealt to his surroundings.
As much as Helacrates wanted to investigate the phenomenon, they were well aware that they were now alone with a Void-wielding subject with unknown motives. Trembling in place, they weighed their options of incapacitating her or fleeing. Either way, their probability of survival seemed slim.
