Tales From Switch City: Zach's Tale
Hey everyone, been awhile, yeesh had this laying around ready to be formatted for awhile just... As you can probably guess from lack of activity health situation has not improved, but actually gotten worse. Good thing is I'm finally getting the sleep study I've needed for over a year so maybe we'll see an improvement and more activity from after I get the results and we come up with a treatment plan based on whatever is causing me to not sleep and wake up in terrible pain at night.
Anyway... Last year there was no Thirteen Tales, so I decided to do Tales From Switch City as a make up thing in the spring. Considering it's now October... Yeah that didn't work out great as this is only the second in the series. I have others written at least they're just not upload ready.
Anyway, Switch City is normally a patreon exclusive series, similiar to SHIFT $5 and up patrons get to sign up for monthly YCH stories. Though it's currently on hiatus while my patroen is paused. Once I'm well enough to catch up on everything I owe everyone I'll unpause and continue the main series which have the next story there already assigned with characters and the plot, just need to be able to sit up straight long enough to write it. You can gain access to read these exclusive stories on Patreon for as little as $1 (warning even though Patreon is paused because of my billing set up you are charged as soon as you sign up) so if you want to look at the backlog of Switch City stories for something to read, a single dollar gets you all of them then when I open patreon again fully you can decide if you want to go up to $5 to sign up to be in them.
Soon. Sleep study soon. And then maybe, finally, this will all be over and I can go back to living a normal life.
Ok, back to this story.
zeelo Zach tries to go to the grocery store but after going through a Reality Shift finds himself at a festival instead, full of delicious smelling food. Noting that this is definitely wrong and suspicious, he decides he's not having any of that, but simply leaving the festival behind isn't as simple as he might think. And there are others watching his actions, waiting to see what he will do.

When you finish writing the story, click save as and select a .txt file. A pop up box will appear. Make sure the checkbox 'Allow text substitution' is checked in the box. Then you can upload the .txt file to FA and it will display in the story correctly.
If you miss the checkmark box a bunch of random letters and punctuation marks will be displayed as question marks on FA so if you see that happen will want to reload the original story and save it as a .txt again and look for the checkbox. I don't want to admit how long it took me to figure out that problem myself because I'm embarrassed I missed something so simple. XD
