Series of speedpaintings I did for my Book Arts assignment due next week. Gotta print these and bind 'em (we were supposed to do a drawing a day for spring break).

All referenced from photos I took at my parents' place back in Connecticut.

Oh thank you!! Yeah, Photoshop CS4, just basically used a palette knife brush of my own creation along with some soft and textured brushes for stuff like the blanket in the middle.

I need to learn to master brushes like that! I've never gotten the hang of them, and I keep feeling like I'm missing out on some really amazing texturing opportunities because of it.

Oh man just make your own palette knife brush. Just a narrowed soft-or-hard-round, really. It's like using a square painting brush and makes for good speedpainting use.
