And now we'll go back a little in the past...
"I read here that chakats sometimes change their names when they grow up. What do you think about it?" Mark asked with a relaxed voice, but it looked like Star didn't like this idea.
"I like the name my Dad gave me, and I don't want to change anything!" Resentfully replied Chakat.
"Well ok ok that's fine, I'm not pushing. That's fine, I understand.
But maybe you'd like to make some additions or clarifications?" Asked Mark, and seeing that his daughter listening carefully, Mark continued.
"What do you mean?" Star asked with a slight interest in the voice.
"Hmmm... How to explain it?
Well... There can be many Stars..." Mark tried to pick up the right words to convey his thoughts.
"Rock Star, Pop Star, Cooking Star, Stage Star, Shooting Star, Red Star, Falling Star...
Maybe you need to make ...some personal character clarifications?
For example... Heavenly Star... Well, because we dangle in space now..." Smiling the man, looking at hir thick tail.
"I like it!" Star suddenly interrupted him, continuing to purr while lying on the couch, and resting hir head on hir adoptive dad's lap.
"So let's be Heavenly Star." Replied the man.

Still space.
Still being a babysitter for his strange adopted daughter.
Mark talking to a young Star. The time when he starts to realize that someone loves him just as he is. This was a turning point for him to start changing from a lost, bitter lonely man with an unsure fate to someone much more.
Still a tiny kitten with a short thick tail - but this changed soon. )
Very soon shi will overgrow him...and turned into a cute black chakat.

sethtriggs For which I am very grateful for his help in portraying all this - because without his vision and pictures I would never have been able to tell this story. He really did a lot for me.
We still have "Tales of Chakona Discord for fans" - a cozy place where we usually gather. But after the recent ...flooding infestation, the rules were changed slightly. So ask around for an invite PM.
