id settle for a revive gelgoog provided they dont leave it as bare as the revive zaku in terms of surface detail,including the hi-mobility type backpack would also be a nice bonus

hopefully it wont be too much of a pain,tying out my cheap portable spray booth out in the garage,but the usb charging air compressor isnt working out so imma have to use canned air for the airbrush i wanna try out,but i need the dang adapter for the top of the can,another trip to the hobby store(s) is in my future it seems

Nice, got into Gunpla (and Gundam in general) this year with the help of Gundam Evolution and while I'm not a huge fan of the Gelgoog it's still cool to see someone's work in progress, anyway zig Zeon!

been into gundam since about 95 before i even knew what it was due to seeing some gundam wing kits in a comic book store one fateful day,sieg zeon,brother.
always glad to know people are still getting into gundam even if its from overwatch with a gundam paint job on it lol

Yeah Evolution is rough but it's a fun game, shame that it's shutting down but it lasted longer than I thought it would.

i wanna say come on over to battle operation 2 but the steam version is a hard sell still they fix up alot of the backend issues and its a very different game,but you dont need to buy skins to paint your units in that game at least lol.

lemme know if you ever have any gundam related questions or guidance cuz this 50 year old franchise can be daunting to get into

I tried GBO2 and I'm not a fan, I find the game too obtuse to get into, it feels like a PS2 game you rent one night, get confused and return it the next day.

I'm actually pretty well versed with Gundam at this point, the thing with me is that I like my mecha to be grounded, gritty war machines rather than fantastical super weapons and to my surprise there's quite a few stories that give me just that, it also helps that those series and shows are some of the best of the franchise like 08th MS Team, War in the Pocket and Thunderbolt, I've also watched the compilation movies of the original MSG and I gotta say it's pretty good stuff. Char's Counter Attack is also the goat too. Haven't seen F91 yet but I am planning on it.

But as you may figure I'm not crazy about the more fantastical side of the franchise like with Wing, Seed, 00, Turn A etc. The mobile suits in those just stomp everything and it just seems boring although Unicorn is my cutoff when it comes to that stuff because come on, how can anyone hate Unicorn? And G Fighter Gundam I give a pass because it's an alternate reality so it knows it's wild and runs with it and I'm fine with that.

wing,seed and 00 are all their own AUs but valid points all around,unicorn is pretty great untill things get a little too newtype-magic-y but its all mostly at the climax so it kinda works.
F91 is bittersweet in that its got alot of great to it but alot of failings due to wacky production,it feels a bit like a complation movie but they didnt make the expanded series to build upon before they did so theres alot of parts where it feels disjointed,with alot more of the universal century as context its not quite as bad though,crossbone vanguard style is top teir drip though and a baddie that can shrug off a sniper bullet to the head im ok with even if they arent well written under scrutiny.

G gundam holds a special place because its the first AU and they were able to just go batshit wacky with it and i love it for that,Wing is a hard sell upon rewatching,Seed alone isnt too bad but destiny shits the bed so hard,love me some 00 though,its my personal favorite AU.

Turn A is an odd duck cuz it both is,and isnt,canon to all gundam timelines depending on how you look at it,but its pretty kewl in its own vibe and i like the setting

as for GBO2 yeah its very obtuse coming from the faster paced actiony gundam evolution,its a much slower,more deliberate,punishing sort of game,not always to its benefit,the PC port doesnt do it any favors,i havent tried the M+KB controls either,hopefully a sequel comes with the sheer weight of the roster but a better game-feel and whatnot,and a bit less gasha-dependance
