All right, here's the deal. This pic was taken with my digital camera and photoshopped up the butt. I NEED A SCANNER. I haven't had one since February.
All of my immediate income I spend on my son, and I spend over $120 a week on diapers and formula combined on JUST him. That doesn't include any of my basic bills. I can't budget dropping over a hundred dollars on a scanner right without using my savings: which is not an option.
Soo I'm please asking for commissions. I'd also like to be reasonable.
$10 will get you a CG'ed headshot
$20 will get you one character, either CG'ed, or real media like this with a photographic background (real media will look nicer scanned)
$30 will get you two characters, CG'ed
$40 will get you two characters, real media and I will ship it to you for free
$50 will get you a TWO PAGE COMIC OF ANYTHING YOU WANT not sexual (read - bits showing. I DO draw romantic erotica without the bits)
Ten dollars extra for every additional page!
I reeeallly, REALLY need a scanner. I can't do any work on my own comic until I have one, and it's driving me nuts having the perspective skewed on every drawing I do. If my prices are too high, NOTE ME, I WILL negotiate.

;-; Yeah, I'm in Texas. With my scanner, were it any other problem I could fix it, but the lightbulb burnt out because I scanned too many pieces in a row when I was starting a sketch journal. And since they have mercury in it, you can't just replace a bulb without getting a whole new scanner. Epson makes a fortune that way.
On a side note, if you can't get it to work, maybe I can help walkyou through it so we can get it running for you? I'm sure it's just an issue of drivers and default settings if one part worked and one didnt'

The problem (as I understand it) is that my computer has only USB2 ports and the Scanner wants a USB1 port to plug into... My cousin Mikey made the computer, and could probably replace one of the USB Ports, but it would mean not having any of the technology I've grown accustomed to for awhile...
Oh that is SO easily solved. Get a USB hub for port one, which is kind something that will give you five or six extra USB ports to plug into. Then for your second USB port, just get a USB2 to USB1 adapter, and bam, you're set! Or if you don't need the second USB port for anything and you want to get -just- the adapter, you can do that, too. They're reallly, realllly cheap. Like, five bucks cheap
Oh wow, I had no idea they made that sort of adapter... I'm so used to new technology making the old technology not work (so you have to buy replacements that do work with the new technology so they make more $$$ and blah blah blah) I guess I didn't really consider that it might be fixable... I'm going to staples tommorrow! ^__^ Thank you so much, this just made my evening.

I've been thinking about things like that, how fur cons aren't exactly kiddie friendly, and I wish we all lived close by so we could have a community. The Japanese have a phrase that goes "It takes a village to raise a child," and you know I think it's true and that children these days lose so much from not having a safe community for them to explore and play in where everyone has everyone elses best interests in mind and watches out for each other.
