I FINALLY came up with and settled on a design for my character Jamie’s mother!
As a kit, Beth never quite accepted the idea that her kind and other small mammals like them were put on Terrapacha simply to be prey for other animals. Determined to not fall victim to the jaws of a hungry predator or disease, she taught herself not just to run from danger but to fight back first, as well as secluding herself from most other animals to avoid contracting any disease by means of escaping to and living on a tiny island just off the shore from the very large island she was born on. It is on this satellite island where she meets Jamie’s father, a lone kestrel who resided there prior to her arrival.
