Melria is a Sifa-Drenchen hybrid. She is an OC who belongs to dracocheesecake, existing in her own HC continuity, who admires SkekSa and in fact crushes on her like most Sifa do. However, we thought it could be fun to include her in the Natives AU as well. In that AU, things start the same, but the 2 eventually start a romance, marrying the Sifa way and adopting children together after SkekSa officially gives up on the Skeksis way to stay with her like a big feathery Sifa with a longer lifespan (spoiler she will be widowed and suffer from it yes). This picture however happens when it was either still one-sided or just a simple crush tho and Sa saw Melria as any other of her little "pets" lol
I saw AFTER I sketched it that somebody else had an eerily similar idea, seeing on IG SkekMal looking stoic and a Skeksis OC gazing at him the same way Melria does with hearts and all. I swear I did not steal the idea we had the same one and it was too late to think of something else lol. Plus look how I drew SkekSa. I'm so damn proud
