Kal is a product of bio engineering by Dr Merad with the intention of acting as a super soldier... although the bio engineering was very experimental and didn't go as planned. Even though Kal is absurdly tough, he's a complete airhead and a bit too friendly, making him unsuitable for any sort of combat. His body can unexpectedly grow in size when experiencing intense reactions.
