This one discounter had a plushie section with some cheaply made wolf plushies. There was a shelf full of them. They were kinda cute, but nothing special really.
I noticed that one plushie in particular looked... different. His eyes were stitched on weirdly.
Passing week after week the shelf got more and more empty... when eventually only this one last plush remained. The one with the weird eyes.
People may thought him ugly. But I found beauty in him.
There was no way in hell I could leave him behind.

When I was in high school, we had a class trip to a roller rink. I won a little eagle plush from a claw machine. His head was kinda wonky and tilted because of how he had been sitting in relation to other stuff in the machine. I love him so much lol... I named him Tilt. (kudos if you picked up the double meaning with arcade machine lingo).
