Bobby Blackhall, also known by his pen name of HB Blackhall, is the eldest of the Blackhall siblings, and makes a living as a horror writer. His special ability is to sense the fourth wall. This mostly manifests as an uncanny ability to predict the immediate future, but it also means he can see you just as well as you can see him. He doesn't like being stared at by extra dimensional creatures.

Mouse is a bit weird. She's not a ghost, since that's someone who lived and died. Rather, she's someone who isn't fully real. Only Bobby, and other people with the same ability as him can see her. Like Bobby she can also see you, but she doesn't seem bothered by the implications as much.
