It's a shame that you have to choose to side with him and kill the myconid colony or kill him. Was fun to have him lumbering with my party in the Underdark, reviving corpses as myconid grunts in combat. Weird tidbit though, the myconids don't have mouths, instead taking in nutrients by standing over decaying matter. They are bipedal mushrooms after all...
