Love this! Might as well write down my explanation for those who might see it. Here's the lore I came up with to explain how Robin Hood could become pregnant.
“After several failed attempts at conceiving a child, Robin Hood and Maid Marian are losing hope of starting a family. However, after making a wish at a magic wishing well for he and Marian to have a child, Robin finds himself receiving an unexpected gift. You see, the wishing well only grants wishes to those who are pure of heart, and since he made the wish without specifying how the child would come to be, he ended up carrying the miracle child himself. Unbeknownst to them, their little bundle of joy would one day become the legendary King Arthur.”

Question because I'm brainstorming an idea for a comic based on Disney's Robin Hood. I read that King Richard the Lionheart ruled in the late 12th century, but that King Arthur's story takes place during the 5th - 6th century. Was there a King Arthur story that took place during the 13th century?
Well, the truth is that I really like the thought of a character carrying someone of high importance and I didn't do the research beforehand, so this isn't historically accurate. I thought it took place around the same time period, but I must've been wrong. Still, it doesn't take away from me enjoying the artwork.
I'm also not familiar with the history of medieval England and reviewing it really intrigues me on what Disney left out, especially that Richard's taxes were higher than John's to fund his military campaigns. I keep imagining after Robin Hood and Maid Marian left in that carriage, King Richard declared "Higher taxes on all to let me fight in the Holy Land!"
What's important is that you enjoy the artwork, and I'm glad you do. ^^

Tommy: I studied English history for a while! It really was in the 11th-12th century! King Richard really introduced huge taxes, and Prince John and his vassals even added it! Robin, quite young by today's standards, returned from a campaign, his land was taken away, and and the new owners said that he could go wherever he wanted, no one knew him here, and nothing would be returned to him. He went into the forest and created a team of his guys! The sheriff took everything from the peasants for taxes (including, probably, the last panties), Robin and the rest of his friends waited for the convoy on the road, and returned everything back to the peasants! :) Everyone knows this, I clarified about panties! :D As for Maid Marion - whether she was a historical figure, there is still debate. I like the good old movie "Robin Hood. Men in Tights."
