The Sun shines bright, emitting light
Her rays cover the mortal worlds
Creating life, as we know it today
Her children cherished it, with delight
One day, a child, known as mankind
Had taken a leap forward, and harnessed Her power
Fueled by greed and fear of each other
They turned the Sun into a weapon of no other kind
As man advanced, and grew with dysfunction
It wouldn't be long until the time they unleash Her
The Sun watched the land set ablaze
Before returning to undo the death and destruction.
