Frooxius in the meanwhile announced Resonite as next NEOS-like platform. We'll see if it's just as open as NEOS to those systems.
More and more of these features slowly are built in stuff of VRC too, but still VRC doesn't allow that much manipulation on avatars as NEOS does.
But VRC has more freedom with shaders, so VRC is usually more beautiful than NEOS. NEOS is more simple in design, but also more direct in latency!
