I've found that with artists rendering the rabbit in different ways, I'm enjoying the outcome. Gives me a better perspective on potential types of play.

That's a great perspective; I did not consider that possibility.

Hehe, thanks. I like doin' different things with pictures, if I can. Sometimes though when I commission an artist spur the moment I try to let them have some free reign, if they want.

Same here. I hate it when artists want almost 100% specifics. Then it doesn't feel authentic to me as much, if that makes sense. :-P But yeah, I like the artist to add their own flare, as it were, whenever possible. ^^

I can see how it's good for some artists who want to do only strictly what the commissioner wants. And I can also see it as a way of not limiting themselves because perhaps the person ordering the piece might have a pose or suggestion that's something the artist has not done before, so it presents an opportunity or challenge to try something new and add or improve or test their talents. Of course too, I also know that a lot of artists are a lot more creative than me, so it's easy to offer free reign. I'm honestly not picky. I'm happy with what I commission.

If I might ask, what was the idea/purpose behind this one?

Essentially it was a spur the moment type deal, so I kinda went with 'leaning against something' idea. Basically it was all I could think of at the time. Really, I was extremely excited about getting something from Grisser, an artist I've admired for years, and so I was kinda brain dead while trying to come up with something fun.

I feel ya man. I do the same thing. So I started writing down my ideas when they come to me out of the blue. :-P That and I commission online cause I'm hopelessly bashful about such things irl. And no not just with adult commissions, but ALL of them. >.< So retarded. Ah well.

I wouldn't say retarded. I tell you, it used to be I was nervous about commissioning anyone. Honestly I kinda had the, stupid, idea in my head that I would be viewed as someone who was just wanting attention. And it kept me from doing it for the longest time. Eventually I broke down through that little barrier when Dktorzi announced some commissioning stuff, and I jumped on the opportunity after thinking about it. And slowly I've just allowed myself to commission, simply because I do enjoy seeing artwork of my character. The artist NiobeNox really helped flesh the rabbit out and made him feel more alive, so I think that helped me as well. I got over the thought of being an 'attention whore', because realistically that's just plain stupid. Lots of people commission and it's great to help folks out who are really talented. And those, like AsherTail, who are budding artists and need the practice.

You said it perfectly. Well that and I have this thing that like what you said, I'm also afraid of the artist hating the idea cause its not original or something. :-P But its hard to be original now-a-days. *shrugs* The silly things people worry about. :-P
