Jamie let out a bored sigh as he stared over the contents of his barren room. He had a worn out sleeping back opened up in the middle of his floor with a thin blanket spread out over it. To the back of the room and under his window were a couple piles of folded clothes. Jamie made sure to sort out his pants, shirts, and underwear. Certainly looked a lot better then the clothes sitting in a garbage bag. Next to his clothes were three very large books; You and your car, Car breakin’ blues, and Even you can be a mechanic. Living in a crappy, broken down car wasn’t easy.
He still felt odd and uncomfortable though. Jamie wasn’t sure what to do with his time. With Mako gone off to work, he thought adjusting might be a bit easier but it wasn’t.
Once Mako left, Jamie continued to watch a few videos on his phone. After about an hour, he decided to organize his room. Jamie had been admiring his handie work about two hours now. Running out of things to do once more, Jamie turned his attention back to his phone as he walked into the living room.
The first thing he noticed was the half eaten pizza he had left on the coffee table. He frowned, feeling a bit bad for wasting it. Mako had offered it to him but he honestly wasn’t very hungry though. Jamie was used to just getting by on the bare minimal.
Jamie took the half eaten slice and threw it into the garbage can with a sad sigh. He should eat more or at least try.
Suddenly, the door opened up. Jamie was so distracted that he nearly jumped out of his skin. Mako came through the door with several paper bags in his grip and a couple of plastic bags around his wrists.
“We’re back!” Mako started to set down the bags on the coffee table with Winston in tow.
“What, already?” Jamie checked his phone. He hadn’t realized it had been so long since the pair left that morning. Jamie watched as the two large men began to pull out containers from the plastic bags and wrapped burritos and burgers from the brown bags. “What is all this?”
“Food court sweep!” Mako and Winston cheered in unison.
Jamie was confused by the enthusiasm. He was expecting more to be said and when nothing was, asked, “W-Whazzhat?”
“On Sundays, the mall closes early.” Winston unwrapped a burger with a single patty and slice of cheese. He took a large bite out of the burger with a grin. “And so some of the restaurants make extra foods that will have to be ‘thrown out’.” Winston chuckled through his mouthful of food.
“And Winston talks some of the fry cooks into putting aside extra for us too.” Roadhog peeled open a burrito filled beans, peppers, and cheese.
Jamie watched the two men take large hunks out of their food. Jamie stared at the large pile of food on the table. Were they seriously going to try and eat it all? Mako and Winston were incredibly big so maybe they needed all the calories.
A sudden chime broke Jamie’s focus. The tv turned on as well as one of the few game systems. The screen would flash to live with lively music and cartoon characters driving about on go karts. Mako and Winston were getting comfortable on the couch as they tore open another wrapped food item.
“Why don’t ya join us?” Mako shifted to the side, leaving a small space next to him so Jamie could sit next to the arm rest.
Jamie stepped around the table and sat himself down, feeling a bit tight but with two large men sitting on the couch, Jamie was surprised he fit at all. Squirming in his seat, Jamie was surprised when Mako held out a small cardboard box in front of him. Mako gave the smaller man a grin and gestured the box before he finally took it.
As Winston and Mako started their game, Jamie opened up the box he was given and saw the simple chicken sandwich inside. Jamie took the sandwich and gave it a small bite. It was a bit cold but still good. He couldn’t help but smirk up at Mako out of the corner of his eye before taking another bite as he watched the two shout at each other over their racers exploding and screwing each other out of first place.
Jamie watched the wacky races on screen, chuckling as the two large men shouted and shoved at each other. He felt like he was being crushed at one point during Mako’s and Winston’s shoving match. He was pinned to the arm rest while Mako was leaning away from Winston. Mako’s large arm was over his head and felt his skinny frame getting crushed by the side of Mako’s belly.
His entire face was turning red as the Mako’s armpit pushed against his head, the giant’s soft chest rubbing into his face. Jamie froze, contorted slightly as he was leaning over the edge of the couch. His mind raced as he felt the strange plushness of the fat body yet the firmness from Mako’s muscles. The weight though was easier to process. Mako was heavy and while Jamie thought that he would be in pain, he wasn’t.
This was a strange form of discomfort Jamie couldn’t place. This wasn’t comfortable for him but there was a strange comfort to this feeling. Mako even had a strange odor to him. The giant had worked today but he was by no means sweaty or smelly but there was an odor. It was a natural musk that came off of him. He smelt like a salt pretzel and the most beautiful tree imaginable in the middle of the woods. Before he could even think to explore these thoughts, Mako pulled away.
“Oh damn, sorry Jamie! Didn’t hurt ya, did I?”
Jamie was silent. Being crushed like that felt like an eternity but it was actually only a couple of seconds. It took a few more seconds to finally realize what Mako had just said to him.
“I ugh, yeah… I’m good.” Jamie had a hard time choking out.
Jamie barely glanced up at Mako. He could see the large man was worried but didn’t say anything else, trying to act as naturally as possible; by sitting there as stiff as a board.
Mako kept an eye on him for a brief moment before going back to his game. He did hand Jamie a burrito wrapped in foil. Jamie took it without a word, slowly unwrapping it and taking his time eating it as his mind lingered, focusing on the warmth still pressing onto the side of his face.
