INTRO
Note: This story is loosely based on the horror film the curse from 1987, and of course some ideas of my own.

The film is in turn based on a book by HP Lovecraft. The book is called "The Color Out of Space".
The first part of this story begins in the city of Accord. Accord belongs to the state of Ulster County, which in turn belongs to New York. There are approximately 573 people living in Accord.
The most famous person who lived here is the writer Whitley Strieber. He has had a cottage in the area but has sold it to others. When he lived in the cabin, according to his own statement, he was abducted by aliens. Whitley later wrote a book about the incident and it is called Communion and is the first book Whitley wrote that is said to be true and not fictional.
Whitley had previously only written horror novels and also two books about nuclear disasters. One of them is a children's book while the other is written for adults.
There is a lot of magnetized iron in the area and on a road called magnetic mine road you can sometimes see orbs. The iron was transported that way.
The main characters of this story initially consist of five families living in Accord. They are of course completely fictitious and have no realtion to living people who live there.
The five families are in order:
The Stormhal family. It consists of Nathan and Lydia and Lucy
The Romendahl family. It consists of Billy and Sofie and Danny
The big Ross family consisting of Max Karen, Alice and Greg.
The Keith family consisting of David, Donan and Mike
Finally, we have the Andersen family, they consist of John, Anita and Rufus.
All five families own a large farm with animals and vegetables and fruit. Some of them sell vegetables and fruit at their plots while the meat from the animals is transported to various slaughterhouses.
All five families have their own well. Not everyone in the Accord has it, but these have chosen to have it.
